Sherise Ho:
Modern Medieval
PHOTOGRAPHER: Sherise Ho
EDITS/PAINTER: Mwewa Kasongo
MODELS: Ashley Emiko and Kaleb Orchard
DESIGNER: Abigail Steel
"My project, “Modern Medieval,” was inspired by Edmund Blair Leighton’s painting “The Accolade,” but with a contemporary twist. The photoshoot featured models, Ashley Emiko and Kaleb Orchard, dressed in a combination of modern and medieval styles, using garments by Abigail Steel, known for her silver jewelry and clothing. The images were edited and then enhanced by artist Mwewa Kasongo, who added hand-painted details to the printed photos, blending new and old styles to create a unique look." - Sherise Ho
ABOUT SHERISE
I am a self-employed photographer and creative director with three years of experience, specializing in family, wedding, and product photography. My true passion, however, is creative fashion photoshoots with a magazine aesthetic. Proficient in Photoshop, I aim to work in the fashion media industry, shooting for fashion shows and magazines.
I’ve worked with Skip the Boat, a New Zealand fashion brand, and created personal projects like “Sink in Denim,” showcasing vintage denim styles. Recently, I highlighted Palestinian culture through a photoshoot to emphasize its enduring beauty despite ongoing conflicts. My goal is to work for esteemed fashion media outlets.
I would love to collaborate on projects or take on paid work to enhance my creative abilities. My ideas are broad, and I am eager to participate in large-scale projects.
